Microsoft office outlook has lot of options which can be configured from Tools -> Options.

Set the registry value MinToTray to 0. After this change Outlook will not be hidden in the taskbar.

Set the value AfterMove to 0. It will move to the next message.
Set the auto save time for composed messages:
Set the registry value autosavetime to the number of minutes after which you want automatically save composed and unsent messages.
For example, to automatically save composed messages after 2 minutes, set this registry key value to 2.
